Sit & Sew Sessions at Creative Stitches: All are FREE! Bring your machine and current project and join us for Fun, Camaraderie, and Support!

  1. • Sit &Sew All Welcome! Now 1:00 -4:00 p.m. Every Wednesday and Friday! Bring your machine, your project materials, UFO's, etc. Meets in classroom in back when other classes in front classroom. Wed 1-4 pm; Friday 1-4 pm, with SW.

  2. • Applique’ with Teddy Sit & Sew: starts 10:30 am, with TC. Call for current schedule.

    1 Million Pillowcase Challenge at Creative Stitches, Beaufort SC
    APQ 1-Million Pillowcases Challenge! Creative Stitches is pleased to Sponsor “Drop-In and Sew” Events and is an official Drop-Off Site for completed Challenge Pillowcases! FREE! Bring Your Own Supplies or purchase Supplies at events. Free Patterns! Bring some fabric, your machine and a few friends and spend the day sewing for a great challenge! Prizes for the highest number of pillowcases donated each month.

           Each month, completed Pillowcases which are Dropped-Off at Creative Stitches will be donated to one of several local not-for-profit Children’s Advocacy and/or Rape Crisis Centers in Beaufort, SC, including: Hope Haven of the Lowcountry, CAPA and CODA.

Quilting and Smocking Guilds and Support: see Links for Contact info for: Sea Island Quilters (SIQ); Palmetto Quilt Guild; Waving Girl Smocking Guild; Carol Jaynes of Carol Ann Quilts; and a few State and National Guilds too.

  1. • PALS Senior Quilting Class - Meets once a month. SIQ quilting-mentors assist seniors attending the PALS Senior Quilting Class, at the Port Royal Arts & Community Center, corner of Richmond & 16th St. See Links for Contact info.

  1. • $5.00 BoM Club, 2nd Saturdays, with LG and VY. Meets 2nd Saturdays at 9:30 am Sharp!  NEW Starting 2011: The Blocks will be $5.00 each month.

  2. • Creative Stitches Embroidery Club, Aug - May, 3rd Saturdays, with LF. Please NOTE: No Meetings during Summer months of June and July.

Creative Stitches sponsors several Clubs on a Monthly Basis for Embroidery and Quilting, as well as the APQ 1-Million Pillowcase Challenge, two Weekly and one Monthly Sit’n Sew sessions. If you wish to Learn a technique or Host a Club, let Linda know your interests!
